Healthicare Bulk-Billing GPs

Dr Bittar is a senior lecturer and Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a Master of Family Medicine from Monash University and a Master of Reproductive Medicine from The University of Western Sydney. He has worked in Glendenning, NSW since 1993 as a family GP. He served on the board of Western Sydney Division of General Practice, three years as Vice President and three years as President. He also chaired Mt Druitt Medical Practitioners Association for six years and still serves on its management committee.
Dr Bittar takes great interest in teaching and training medical students and GP registrars and is passionate about comprehensive patient centred family medicine.
Dr Bittar can speak English, Arabic & French and is best known for his loyalty to his patients, staff and the organisation.

Dr Vallester graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Doctorate of Medicine from the University of New South Wales. Prior to starting general practice, she gained experience working at Nepean Hospital. She is a Fellow with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and takes an active role in the education of medical students and GP registrars. She has been practicing as a GP supervisor since 2022.
Her areas of interest include women’s health (including Implanon insertion), paediatrics, diabetes and minor surgery and skin excisions.
Kimberley is passionate about improving health outcomes and access in Western Sydney, having grown up in the area. Her interests outside of medicine include music, art and scuba diving.

Dr Avishka Perera graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medical Science & Doctor of Medicine. She has gained experience working at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospital and has an understanding of the specific health determinants of the Western Sydney community.
She has a particular interest in Paediatrics and holds a Diploma of Child Health through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and Western Sydney Uni. Dr Perera enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in women’s health, preventative health and metabolic disease. Dr Perera is joining Healthicare as a GP registrar and is a compassionate practitioner, taking a collaborative approach with her patients to deliver holistic care.
Healthicare Nurse, MPA and Allied Health Professionals

Karen is a registered nurse, qualified to perform baby checks, diabetes checks, pap smears, blood taking, spirometry, immunisations, and ECGs.
Karen is passionate about patient care and management. She enjoys building relationships with patients, identifying areas of need and planning projects to achieve patient goals.

Disha is a registered psychologist with a passion for supporting neurodivergent and neurotypical children and adolescents facing mental health concerns, including social, emotional, and behavioural issues. She adopts a holistic approach, providing support to families and schools, and runs social and emotional learning groups for children aged 6 to 11, utilising play-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
Disha offers an empathetic, individualised, and evidence-based approach. She has experience in cognitive and educational assessments, as well as assessments for neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD.

Camelia is a Medical Practice Assistant (MPA) who is passionate about working with older patients to manage their health and schedule their proactive and preventative care appointments. She is a strong advocate of the patient-centered medical home model that aims to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients, thereby reducing the need for hospitalisation.
Camelia also enjoys educating patients in group sessions, which can be an effective way to promote healthy habits and prevent chronic diseases.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Vicky is a highly skilled and compassionate podiatrist dedicated to delivering high-quality foot care. Following graduation in New Zealand, Vicky has worked extensively in regional New South Wales as well as across multiple locations in Sydney, building a strong reputation for her expertise and personalised approach.
Vicky has a special interest in the treatment and management of ingrown toenails and is known for her thorough and gentle care.

Malavika (Malu) Srinath graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005, gaining a wide range of experience from hospitals and sports medicine practices in Sydney and rural NSW. Malavika has experience in respiratory, orthopaedic, women's health, musculoskeletal therapy and neurological physiotherapy.
She has particular interest in sports and musculoskeletal therapy where she worked alongside sport physicians to improve her skills. She started Physio Astute in 2010, and her positive relationship with all the general practitioners and specialists has helped build her three clinics in Beecroft, Marayong and Rooty Hill.
Malavika's in-depth knowledge of injury rehabilitation and manual therapy ensures optimal results for her patients.
Healthicare Administration Team

Roula is one of Healthicare’s patient advocates. She is dedicated to ensuring patients have a positive experience from the moment they walk into the door. She has a Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical) and a degree in French Literature.
Roula firmly believes Healthicare will help develop her skills in the field of medical administration work.

Sawsan has worked as a receptionist in health care with Richmond Road Family Practice since 2019. Previously, she was a practicing electronics engineer, and relocated her family to Australia for a better life. She holds a Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical) and Business Administration (General).
Sawsan has a passion for helping patients and giving them the utmost care and service. She always has a friendly smile and has learnt that being kind to people when they are facing health care challenges can make all the difference. She enjoys supporting all patients. Sawsan loves reading, walking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Kali Renata-Bergin is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She has held senior leadership roles in some of Australia’s largest hospitals, where she built and led high-performing teams to achieve significant operational improvements and outstanding patient outcomes.
As General Manager at Healthicare, Kali is passionate about developing sustainable, personalised care solutions that support community health. With a forward-thinking approach, she is dedicated to fostering high-quality, patient-centred care and driving the organisation’s mission to transform healthcare delivery.
Kali holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health. She is an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Managers and a member of the Public Health Association of Australia, reflecting her deep commitment to continuous learning and leadership in healthcare.
Healthicare Specialist Services

Dr David Chandrakumar graduated with his medical degree and Masters in Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2014, being awarded distinction in both degrees and the Ian Webster medal in recognition of his performance.
He then completed his internship and residency in Westmead Hospital, followed by basic physician training at Nepean Hospital. Dr Chandrakumar went on to complete his speciality training in Cardiology at Blacktown Hospital in 2021.
Dr Chandrakumar is trained in all aspects of general cardiology, but has a special interest in non-invasive imaging, including CT coronary angiography, and heart failure.
Dr Chandrakumar is partnering with the team at Healthicare to provide access to mobile echocardiography services for patients in the Rooty Hill, Mount Druitt and surrounds.

Dr Sajad Shehab is a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer providing services at Healthicare, where he’s known not just for his clinical skill, but for his genuine care for the communities of Blacktown, Mount Druitt, and Rooty Hill. His work ensures that families from all walks of life have local access to high-quality cardiac imaging and early detection services—helping people stay ahead of serious heart conditions through compassionate, preventative care.
He holds a Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound with Distinction from the Queensland University of Technology. He completed a PhD titled, ‘Biventricular devices for end-stage chronic heart failure’ at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in 2018. In recognition for this outstanding academic achievement, Dr Shehab received a Dean’s Merit Award from UTS. Shortly after completing his PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Heart Transplant Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. Dr Shehab has a passion for clinical research with a special interest in cardiac imaging.
Healthicare Board

Experience and expertise: Kean-Seng is a General Practitioner and practice owner in Western Sydney for the last 30 years. He has a background in health tech, informatics, primary care transformation and policy and system design.
Kean-Seng has more than 30 years of Board experience having served on the boards of Australian Medical Association (AMA) NSW, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) NSW Faculty, Western Sydney Primary Health Network and Medicare Local.
Previous roles Kean-Seng has held include Co-Founding a Health software company, CareMonitor, Chief Medical Advisor to PenCS, past clinical lead with the National Electronic Health Transition Authority, and sitting on various advisory boards at government, industry and organisational levels in fields from PCMH, Health Care Homes, Heart Failure and Chronic Kidney Disease to eHealth.
Kean-Seng has also served as President of AMA NSW, past Deputy Chair of the AMA Council of General Practice and is the current President of the Mt Druitt Medical Practitioners Association. Kean-Seng has a strong and ongoing commitment to health care systems reform and health equity and extensive experience in microsystems transformation and application of health technology at micro and meso levels.
He has been awarded RACGP GP of the Year 2015, and the AMA Health Care Excellence Award 2022.

Experience and Expertise: Amandeep is a General Practitioner and an expert in digital health and innovation.
Alongside her clinical work, she is the Program Director for the Australian Clinical Entrepreneur Program (AUSCEP), an initiative started by the NHS in the UK and now being piloted across NSW, Victoria and WA. The program has helped 120 clinicians commercialise their innovations and research and learn key entrepreneurial skills.
Amandeep was until recently, the Chair of Coviu Global, a data61 company spun out of CSIRO. She is also a board director and council member of AMA NSW, board director of ACHSI and board director of Molemap AU/NZ and is a Digital Health Adviser for the Australian Digital Health Agency.
She is the founder of Creative Careers in Medicine, an organisation with 20,000 members, that supports doctors in navigating careers off the beaten path. Her goal is to ensure we have doctors with the right skill sets for the jobs of the future.
She is also a co-founder of Australian Medical Angels, one of the world's largest syndicates of angels in the medical space. Australian Medical Angels has grown to now have one of the largest portfolios of digital health and technology companies in Australia with over 25 portfolio companies and a network of 1000+ investors.
Her roles in the innovation sector have seen her be involved in trade mission trips and delegations globally to examine innovation precincts and understand how innovation can be fostered across the health and life sciences sector. Through her deep connections into the medical world, Universities and research institutions, venture capital and the startup sector, she is one of the most uniquely placed people to understand how a health ecosystem that fosters innovation can be built.
She has a Bachelor of Medicine (honours) from the University of Newcastle, a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University and a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Biomedical Informatics and Digital Health at the University of Sydney.
Amandeep was awarded a 2021 Brilliant Women in Digital Health Award by Telstra Health and the 2022 National Leadership Award by the University of Newcastle.

Experience and Expertise: Nada is a clinical redesign and innovation hospital executive with over 15 years’ experience in leading collaborative, innovative and transformative projects.
Nada’s background is across the primary and tertiary care sectors and health and medical research. Currently a PhD candidate with University of NSW in supporting general practice to provide integrated care for people living with rare diseases.
As a child refugee and current carer, Nada’s interests are in building and evaluating equitable and integrated health and social care systems, to achieve a healthier future for communities.
Nada continues to support professional development for health services managers through her voluntary contribution to the ACHSM NSW Branch Education Committee.

Appointments
We use an appointment booking system to better serve you. Your appointment time is a guide under normal circumstances and appointments may sometimes be delayed by emergencies or urgent presentations. Longer consultations are available on request.
Healthicare Billing Policy
We offer bulk billing to patients with valid Medicare cards. If you do not have a valid Medicare card, you will be charged an out-of-pocket expense of $90.00 at the time of your consultation. Please check with your health professional at the beginning of your consultation. EFTPOS facilities are available.
In some circumstances, there may be an exception to the rule and services may require billing, for example insurances, death certificates, and workers’ compensation.
For fees relating to surgical procedures, please check with your health professional at the beginning of your consultation.

Consent
We are a teaching practice for GP registrars, medical and nursing students and other health professionals. Please advise our administration team if you do not consent to their presence during your consult. You will be notified if they are on-site, and in some instances, you may be required to sign a consent form.
Reminder and Recalls
Federal and State registers and reminder systems for certain conditions or prevention activities have been put in place. We are committed to preventative care and may issue you with a reminder notice via SMS, email, phone call and/or letter, offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. Please advise us if you do not wish to receive these messages.
Test Results
Healthicare requires patients to make an appointment for all investigation results, including blood tests and imaging results. This will ensure we provide you with the most comprehensive medical care. Results are strictly confidential.
For abnormal investigation results, you will receive three SMS notifications and a recall letter, until a follow-up appointment is made. This is for your safety.
No pathology results will be given over the phone by any staff member except the GP.

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your private personal and health information. All Healthicare staff members are subject to strict confidentiality obligations. Please provide us with your correct personal and health information as misleading or inaccurate information may affect our ability to provide you with the best health outcomes. Your health records may be reviewed as part of our quality improvement activities.
